GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group, Inc. is a hotel company headquartered in Shanghai, China. GreenTree Inns was founded in 2004. The company is 7th largest hotel franchise company worldwide and owns five high quality brands. GreenTree Inns also has U.S. affiliate, GreenTree Hospitality Group, Inc. which operates and administers the GreenTree Inn franchise in the United States. As of November 15, 2015, GreenTree Inns owned, managed, or franchised over 2,400 properties.
==History==
GreenTree Inns was founded in 2004 by Alex Xu along with a number of American investment enterprises with the goal of establishing business-oriented hotels.
By the end of 2007, only three years after opening its first hotel, they had over 200 locations in China. Further, by the end of 2008, GreenTree Inns had hotels in more than 60 cities with more than 300 hotels. This growth trend continued with 430 hotels in 2009, 500 hotels in 2010. As of November 15, 2015, GreenTree Inns owned, managed, or franchised over 2,400 properties.
